2-0 SOA

For some reason I had been abandoned my personal blog. My life's too dull perhaps? =/

Anyway, this week I had my SOA FM exam. Similar to last time, I woke up early in the morning and ate my breakfast at McD. A pretty good morale booster for me. Love the hash brown very much. =)

Drove all the way to Miharja LRT ( you know how awesome is it for Malaysia transit system), switched to Putra  Line at Masjid Jamek, and boarded off at Dang Wangi to walk towards Prometric Exam Centre which is located at Faber Imperial Court.

Met HH and J and for some reason, TA who already took the exam last week!

Three hours, 35 questions, with some luck I passed. HH passed as well. But surprisingly, J failed. Pretty unbelievable for me. I can understand how painful is it to fail a US$151 exam. Both psychologically and financially.

Next I went to Low Yat Plaza, just like last time when I took my P exam, thinking to search for a rechargeable battery set and earphones. However, I had cancelled my plan to spend. Glad to though.

Went back home after that, scanning the pass notification provided by Prometric Exam Centre, posting the status: 2-0 SOA.

Not too hyped though this time as I was much well prepared than last time and had already familiar with the exam environment. Have to praise Prometric again as it provides the best exam environment I have ever encountered in my lifetime. =)

Recent Happenings

I have been MIA for quite a long time from this blog and it's time to keep this blog from dying. So let's just update you guys about my recent life:
  • My last sem's GPA hit another all-time low, but I guess it's fine as it could be far more worse.
  • Celebrated my aunt's b'day two weeks before with most of my paternal families and karaoke-ed after that. Ended my long singing drought at a karaoke. =)
  • Studying for SOA FM exam currently, everyday.
  • Enjoying my quite free short sem with only three study days.

Anyway, I had watched a large number of movie from sem break until now with majority in the top 250 list in IMDb. The top 250 list is voted by millions of visitors of IMDb and hence it's quite credible. I'm really glad to watch quite a big number of masterpieces, namely:

Memento
A very deep story with a lot of twists.
1) Memento - A story about how a person with inability to store new memory after an accident seeks to revenge for his rape-killed wife. By Christopher Nolan, the director of Inception. A must watch.
The Prestige
Another story full of depth by Christopher Nolan
2) The Prestige - The story of how two magician fought against each other with some supernatural phenomena. Watching this movie simply multiplies my admiration towards Christopher Nolan.
The Godfather
Is that Torres? =P
3) The Godfather Trilogy - The story of how a "good boy" in a big gangster family turns himself into the leader of the black hand. A little bit too classy for me but it's quite enjoy to see how similar is Torres and young Al Pacino looks like. Ranked #2 in IMDb top 250.
The Shawshank Redemption
Learn how to escape from a prison.
4) The Shawshank Redemption - A spectacular story which details how interesting can life be behind the bars. Tops the IMDb top 250.

There are more such as the Fight Club, the Matrix Trilogy etc. but those above are the ones I like the most in general.

That's all for now. Tata!

A Day At Proton

Good service. Well done.
My dad made at appointment at Proton Edar Service Centre Cheras branch for a warranty service at Friday, so I needed to wake up early for it. Sadly though, I had celebrated until very late the day before and the days before the day before I was studying crazily for due to my hellish examination timetable. Well well well.

Patrolled around for some time before I actually found the premise. Checked-in with the staff there and waited. Then it was my turn to meet with the consultant. Nothing special but pretty impressive for me as it was my first time to service my car at a major service centre.

After settling the problems of my car with the consultant, I took my breakfast nearby and came back waiting. And waiting. And waiting. There was still a long queue before my car got serviced. So, the impatient me decided to walk myself to Connaught to find a Cybercafe to surf for awhile. Across a pedestrian bridge, through Giant Connaught, then across another pedestrian bridge... quite a long walk.

I only walked back after an hour and a half and was quite unhappy to find that the service centre was on a long Friday break. So I had my lunch before I went back, thinking that my car might still not serviced yet. But it was, and my long day finally came to a conclusion. The consultant had another talk with me again, providing helpful and warm advice. I must admit that I don't expect this kind of service from Proton. Too good to be true.

Despite the long wait, I am very much satisfied with the customer service provided. Hope that there would be more Proton self-owned service centre around so that consumers won't need to wait too long for their car to be serviced. Well done.

When the Semester Ends...

Ya, I'm on a break now. No, I'm not quite on the holiday mood yet. My besties of besties are yet to finish their finals, so I am still two days away from total craziness. LOL.

Still, I do have my plan on the last day of exam. I hung out with my AS gang for a steamboat buffet dinner at Tasty Pot, Sunway. Not so bad, but a little bit more expensive than its competitors.

Then we go for a movie. "Revenge of King Cobra", a Thai movie. We thought it would be a thriller, but hell no! The plot is ridiculously illogic. Lack of connection at all. The story is trying to instil some moral values by arousing karma, but it fails eventually. Tok even said that he's not scared of snakes any more after watching that movie. Freaking "awesome".

A damned movie.
I had watched two movie with Joyce and co since we knew each other, and both times the movie sucks. Hope that it won't be the next time. =P
